Last but not least, the customer service, both, in person and over the phone expressed no empathy. Their problem solving has not imagination. Having cash only means that I cannot make online transactions from purchases to paying bills for the next week or more. The only thing that can be done is I can withdraw cash from the account with the expired card. If I want expedited service, for that I have to be at home to sign upon receipt. All they can do is to follow the standard procedure which is to order a new card and have me wait 5-7 business days. Standing in a non ventilated corridor inside the bank’s branch and following a long wait on the phone, the customer service negated all of my speculations. Capital One needs to merge with Wells Fargo in these types of business dealings and underhanded policies and procedures. Capital One presented and showed me their TRUE COLORS and is ONLY interested in acquiring any and all fees and charges that they can from their customers, while providing totally worthless customer service and/or assistance. In addition to a completely worthless and waste-of-time, non-compliant, non-compassionate, uncaring and non-helpful customer service. Overall, I have numerous credit cards with outstanding history & credit limits, but have never seen a policy and time frame like this, especially since it's an automated system receiving for on-line payments, as well as, all my other credit cards utilize a midnight time frame to receive on-line payment transactions. Being treated in this manner, I paid off the balance and instructed the account to be closed immediately. I was told that the payment terms are stated all over the website and any & all documents, as I have researched this, as I am on paperless billing, the only place that I see this noted is if I call up the current statement document and then it's referenced in one area in smaller case lettering.
